We’ll take a look at the match facts before making our Reims vs PSG prediction and checking out the top soccer bet of the match.

Reims have played PSG quite closely in recent seasons and the hosts will do their best to end PSG’s perfect start.

Stade Reims vs Paris Saint-Germain Head-to-Head

  • Three of the last four meetings between Stade Reims and Paris Saint-Germain have finished in draws.
  • That includes March’s 2-2 draw in which all four goals were scored in the first half.
  • PSG are on a nine game unbeaten streak against Reims, in all competitions.
  • Stade Reims last defeated PSG at home in 2019.

Reims on Three Game Unbeaten Run

Reims are scoring goals freely as of late and can cause problems for PSG.

  • Ligue 1 Standings: 2-1-1 (6th)
  • Form (All Competitions): W,W,D,L

After dropping coach Luka Elsner’s first match in charge, Reims have gone on a three game unbeaten streak. They’ve gone down 1-0 but managed to pull off 2-1 comeback victories in successive matches.

Yehvann Diouf made some important stops in goal at Nantes last Sunday. Meanwhile, the Japanese duo of Junya Ito and Keito Nakamura combined for a dramatic stoppage time winner.

Reims are also the only side to take points off of Marseille this season, as the sides drew 2-2 on the second Matchday. SRFC have scored twice in three straight matches, with six different players among the goals.

Over the last three seasons, Reims have hovered around the middle of the table and they’re looking to improve on last season’s ninth-placed finish.

While Mohammed Daramy is set to return from an injury in time for this match, defenders Joseph Okumu, Sergio Akieme and Abdoul Kone are out. As too are midfielders Amadou Kone and Gabriel Moscardo.

Reims have been able to score in their last three matches but they are yet to keep a clean sheet under Elsner.

Barcola Biggest Beneficiary of Mbappe Departure for PSG

PSG have scored 16 goals through four Ligue 1 games ahead of Saturday's clash at Reims.

  • Ligue 1 Standings: 4-0 (1st)
  • Form (All Competitions): W,W,W,W,W

PSG’s Champions League opener ended with a victory as Girona keeper Paulo Gazzaniga made a horrific error in the 90th minute. While PSG managed to fire off 26 shots, they ended up getting on the board on an own goal in the 1-0 win.

The Parisians are now 5-0 this season, in all competitions, and are on top of the Ligue 1 table after four matchdays. So far, the biggest beneficiary of Mbappe’s departure has been Bradley Barcola.

The left winger scored in the first three Ligue 1 matches on Paris Saint-Germain’s schedule and has found the net four times this season. Last time out in Ligue 1, PSG defeated Brest 3-1 at the Parc des Princes as Ousmane Dembele scored twice.

Bettors should note Gianluigi Donnarumma missed Wednesday’s Champions League match with a thigh injury. The Italian goalkeeper appears to be a gametime decision for Saturday. Matvey Safonov could deputize again if Donnarumma is unable to suit up.

Meanwhile, attackers Goncalo Ramos and Marco Asensio are out while Lucas Hernandez and Presnel Kimpembe are still recovering from long-term injuries.

Reims vs PSG Prediction, Top Soccer Bet

PSG have scored 16 goals in their first four matches of the Ligue 1 season. As Ligue 1’s top scoring outfit, we certainly don’t doubt their ability to find the net in this match. After all, Reims have conceded the first goal in each of their matches this season.

Even though PSG have been decimating their Ligue 1 opponents so far, we don’t want to discount Reims. Players like Oumar Diakite and Marshall Munetsi can cause problems for the PSG backline.

So, our Reims vs PSG prediction is based on both teams’ potential to score goals. We’re thinking this will be an exciting match with both teams on the scoresheet. Punters can bet on our Reims vs PSG prediction of “Both Teams to Score” at -143 odds at Bet365. The last meeting finished all square at two goals apiece and with Donnarumma not fully fit, Reims will feel they can put a goal or two on the league leaders.
